Exa invests in European long-haul network, agrees new France-Turkey link

It will be in Mazara del Vallo on the Italian island’s southeastern shoreline, and will consolidate existing landing sites there into a scalable next generation facility better able to address the needs of a rapidly changnig market. Sicily’s importance as a hub between Europe, Africa, and Asia has been steadily growing for a while now.

The company was created after I Squared Capital completed its acquisition of the assets of Interoute, Hibernia and Kpn. The "newco" has a 100 000 km fibre network connecting 300 cities. CEO Blanken: "We are determined to become the undisputed market leader in this sector".
